Netflix has announced the release date for Heartstopper season 3, accompanied by an exclusive snippet from a new Billie Eilish song.
The 22-year-old pop star, who is gearing up for a world tour in support of her upcoming album, can be heard in the minute-long clip released by Netflix on Monday morning.
The track, titled “Birds Of A Feather,” is a sweet pop ballad that will be fully available when Billie’s third studio album, Нit Me Hard And Soft, releases on Friday.
The clip ends with the release date for the third season of the British coming-of-age romantic comedy-drаmа series: October 3.
The teaser starts with Charlie Spring (Joe Locke) practicing how to tell Nick Nelson (Kit Connor) that he loves him when his sister Tori (Jenny Walser) interrupts. Tori is surprised that Charlie hasn’t said those three words yet, to which he replies, “I don’t want him to sаy the awkward ‘I love you too’ because he feels obligated.”
Tori believes Nick feels the same and urges Charlie to confess his feelings that day.
Charlie meets up with Nick, and they share a flirty glance. Despite his sister’s advice, Charlie hesitates and says, “I… just never seen you in a vest before.”
Nick jokingly responds, “Well, I’ve never seen you in a cap before.”
They both laugh and walk off together.
According to a press release, the upcoming season’s synopsis is: “Charlie wants to tell Nick that he loves him. Nick also has something important to sаy to Charlie. As the summer holiday ends and the months progress, the friends realize that the school year will bring both joys and challenges. As they learn more about each other and their relationships, plan social events and parties, and start thinking about university choices, everyone must learn to lean on those they love when life doesn’t go as planned.”
The series, created and written by Alice Oseman, who also wrote the book series, will have its upcoming season directed by Andy Newberry.
Returning cast members include William Gao, Yasmin Finney, Corinna Brown, Kizzy Edgell, Tobie Donovan, Rhea Norwood, and Leila Khan.
