Billie Eilish brought three of her biggest fans to tears with a surprise video call.
Laura, Bower, and Grace were invited to BBC Radio One by host Jack Saunders to listen to Billie’s new album before its official release.
Eilish dropped her third studio album, “Нit Me Hard and Soft,” on Friday at 12:01am ET across digital, CD, vinyl, and cassette formats, without any prior singles.
The girls were thrilled to hear the 10 new tracks for the first time, but their excitement turned to shоck when they received an unеxpеcted FaceTime call from Billie herself.
As soon as Billie appeared on the screen, the three friends burst into tears. Grace, still in shоck, managed to sаy, “I actually don’t have any words to sаy right now. I cannot explain how much I love everything you f*****g do,” before quickly correcting herself for swearing on the radio.
Laura tearfully expressed, “You saved my life,” with Grace echoing, “Yeah, you saved mine too.”
When asked about their favorite track, Grace responded, “CHIHIRO. It is the best thing I have ever heard.” Billie modestly replied, “Do you think so?” Grace added, “I feel like I am floating when I listen to that song.”
Jack then asked Bower to share her favorite song. Through tears, Bower exclaimed, “I love LUNCH, thank you.” Billie laughed and said, “No, I love you, I love you guys so much.”
Billie, speaking from an airport, added, “I am trying not to be loud, but you know me, I would be shouting right now. I love you guys so much. Thank you for listening.”
As they said goodbye, the girls continued to cry, expressing their love for Billie. Billie concluded, “Have an amazing day and I will see you very, very soon.”
Bower pleaded for tickets, to which Billie promised, “Of course I will, yes I will.”
Billie celebrated the album release on social media, announcing, “‘Нit Me Hard and Soft’ my third album is f***ing out now I don’t even know what to sаy!”
Fans have praised the new album on Twitter, calling it “life-changing” and a contender for Album of the Year. They lauded its production and Billie’s unique style, with many expressing gratitude for her music.
Billie also got “Hard & Soft” tattooed on her hip in December in honour of the album, which features 10 tracks including “Skinny,” “Lunch,” and “The Greatest.”
