She became part of the trend among celebrities adopting pets during the challenges faced by shelters amid the CоVID-19 pɑndemic.
On Tuesday, Billie Eilish disclosed that she ‘didn’t succeed in fostering’ because she couldn’t bring herself to give up one of her Pit Bulls.
The 18-year-old music sensation shared images on her Instagram Stories showcasing the charming puppy, temporarily dubbed her ‘little unnamed monkey.’ Billie initially mentioned her fostering endeavor in her Insta Stories on March 16.
In one photo, she was in a relaxed position with a black and white Pit Bull puppy asleep on her head, while the gray puppy she ultimately adopted rested on a dog bed above her.
‘If you’re seeking activities during this period of staying at home, consider fostering some little ones,’ she suggested, tagging the Angel City Pit Bulls shelter.
Another picture featured a close-up of the gray puppy’s drowsy eyes as Billie encouraged adoption in the caption, although she eventually decided to adopt it herself.
On Monday, the singer of “Bad Guy” revealed the official adoption by sharing a snapshot of her adoption papers on her Stories.
‘I didn’t succeed in fostering,’ she quipped.
Billie also clarified that the other puppy she was adopting wouldn’t be left without a home, showing a photo of it affectionately licking its new owner’s face.
‘And this little momma has found a different forever home!! And will live the happiest life,’ she affirmed.
Billie might have been warming up to the idea of having her own dog during her recent concert tour, which had to be shortened due to the pɑndemic.
On March 9, before starting her tour in Miami that evening, the pop star received a special delivery of shelter puppies to her green room.
Miami-Dade Animal Services shared images of her looking radiant as she enjoyed the company of some adorable puppies, all of which were adopted shortly after.
In addition to her new puppy, Billie also has a childhood dog named Pepper.
