SAG Awɑrds 2024: Billie Eilish Comicɑlly Signs Melissɑ McCɑrthy’s Fɑce in an Unеxpеcted Momеnt

At the 2024 SAG Awards ceremony, Billie Eilish and Melissa McCarthy experienced a comically unеxpеcted celebrity encounter.

After Billie refused to sign Melissa dress as as not to ruin it, she agreed to sign Melissa's forehead instead

Following Melissa’s enthusiastic expression of fandom for Billie, the 22-year-old singer–songwriter playfully autographed the 53-year-old actress’ forehead. The surprising moment had viewers on Netflix laughing and sparked jokes on social media about Melissa’s portrayal as a Billie Eilish superfan.

Billie Eilish and Melissa McCarthy had a celebrity encounter that went hilariously wrong at the 2024 SAG Awards ceremony on Saturday

Adding to the humor, Melissa disclosed that she had collaborated with Billie’s mother, Maggie Baird, an actress, teacher, and musician, serving as her improv coach during pregnancy. Despite a light-hearted mix-up about their previous meetings, including encounters with Melissa’s daughters and a dog, the interaction remained jovial.

After Melissa gushed about how big of a fan she was of Billie's, the 22-year-old singer–songwriter scrawled her autograph all over the 53-year-old actress' forehead

Melissa, thrilled to share the stage with Billie, humorously corrected her when the singer mentioned it was nice to meet her, citing multiple previous meetings, even during Billie’s time in utero. Melissa playfully fangirled, asking Billie to sign her dress, ultimately settling for an autograph on her face, which garnered an enthusiastic response from her.

After the songstress said that it was nice to meet her, the Bridesmaids actress corrected her, saying they had met multiple times, including years earlier — before she was even born

Fans on social media found the display amusing, dubbing Melissa as “THE Billie stan” and drawing comparisons to a Friends episode where Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) had a mustache and goatee drawn on her face.

Some suggested a potential “buddy comedy” collaboration between Billie and Melissa, while others expressed surprise at Melissa’s story about meeting Billie when she was in the wоmb.

She even revealed that she had worked with Billie's mother - actress, teacher and musician Maggie Baird - as her improv coach when she was pregnant with the future hitmaker (Billie and Maggie pictured together last week)

Melissa dazzled on the red carpet in a shining silver dress with billowing ruched sleeves, while Billie opted for a casual look with a sheer beige sweater vest, red-striped shirt, black slacks, and matching boots.

'Oh, OK. I thought you were going to be like, "I don’t want to ruin your pretty face,"' Melissa joked

Billie was accompanied by her brother, Finneas, in a classic black tux, and Barbie star Margot Robbie, who looked stunning in a black mini dress with a long pink train tied around her waist.

Melissa didn't seem at all embarrassed as she presented the award with Billie with the signature on her face.

Fans on social media thought the display was 'so funny'.
