Katy Perry U𝚗veils Animɑted Fi𝚗ɑle for ‘Smile’ Si𝚗gle: A Vibrɑ𝚗t Jour𝚗ey Followi𝚗g Mi𝚗imɑl Teɑser

Katy Perry unveiled the latest music video for her single “Smile” on Facebook last Thursday.

Second try: Katy Perry, 35, released the final video for her single Smile after sharing more minimal clip back in July

The delightful video showcases a pregnant artist engaging in a carnival-themed video game with animated CGI sequences.

Premiere: 'Here to serve u this morning (with first lewks and [pie emoji]) Watch the official #SMILE video here on the Facebook app and let me know what u think, I’ll be [eyeballs emoji] in the comments,' she captioned the video

The 35-year-old pop sensation had previously released a more budget-friendly “Performance” video in July, making this newest video her final presentation for the upbeat song. Instead of sharing the video on YouTube, Katy directed her fans to her Facebook page for the full visual experience, inviting them to share their thoughts in the comments.

Game time: The video opens with Katy wearing black and white pajamas from Sleeper as she puts the finishing touches on a pie, before finding a carnival video game playing in her living room

The video follows Katy’s selection of a carnival-themed character, the sad clown, leading to a transformation of her real-life attire into a clown’s costume with grease paint on her face.

New role: The songstress has to choose a carnival-themed character, so she chooses the sad clown, and instantly her real-life clothes transform into a clown's costume, and she finds her face covered in grease paint

Throughout various vignettes, her clown avatar engages in whimsical activities, including a romantic encounter with a wolfman, competing in a strongman competition, and experiencing a daring knife-throwing act while tied to a rotating board.

Love at first bite: Katy's avatar is shown in a variety of vignettes, some of them romantic, like when she knocks out a wolfman with one of her juggling balls, only to strike up a relationship with him afterward

Despite the initial portrayal as a sad clown, the video concludes with Katy’s animated character having a dance party with other circus performers, while the real Katy gleefully smashes a cream pie into her face. The artist had previously released a “Performance” video on July 14, where she performed against a mostly white minimalist set.

Ouch: She also goes through other carnivalesque attractions, like competing in a strongman competition and being tied to a rotating board while having knives thrown at her

Responding to a fan’s query about the term “Performance” video, Katy hinted that there was more to come. A recent Los Angeles Times profile delved into Katy’s recent working environment, revealing that she has been filming her videos in a Burbank warehouse with a 10-person crew undergoing repeated COVID-19 testing.

Letting loose: Despite being the sad clown, Katy's nothing but smiles by the end, when her animated character has a dance party with the other circus performers
