While primarily discussing her upcoming album and Vogue cover, she confirmed suspicions that she wore a wig before revealing her platinum look publicly. 

Eilish admitted to donning a black wig with neon-green roots during her February interview on the show, asserting that she was already blonde at the time. 

To protect her hair from damage, she opted for a gradual lightening process, delaying the big reveal until completion. 

During the transition, she resorted to an Amazon-purchased Billie Eilish Halloween costume wig, describing it as awful and the ugliest thing. 

Eilish clarified that her intention was not to play a prank but to avoid looking ‘crazy’ during the intermediate stage. 

Eventually, she had a professional wig made and unveiled her blonde hair in March, emphasizing the genuine nature of her transformation.
