In a recent appearance on “Today with Hoda & Jenna,” Alex Rodriguez shared a humorous perspective on parenting in his blended family with Jennifer Lopez. Rodriguez, who shares two daughters with ex Cynthia Scurtis, and Lopez, who has twins from her previous marriage, formed a close-knit family of six after getting engaged.
During the interview, Rodriguez jokingly revealed the challenges of being the boss at home when Lopez is away, stating, “Before she gets home, I’m the boss. When I get home, I’m security, I’m Uber, I’m the teacher.” However, he playfully admitted that the minute Lopez arrives, he loses his authoritative status, saying, “It’s over, it’s over. When she gets home, she’s the boss.”
The former MLB player attributed his appreciation for strong women, including Lopez, to his upbringing by a single mother. Rodriguez emphasized his belief in women’s equality, stating, “I’m drawn to powerful women because of my mother — she had two jobs. I have an incredible sister, and I just believe in women’s equality. Women are the future.”
Rodriguez and Lopez prioritize family in their relationship, and the couple’s children eagerly anticipate their upcoming wedding. The kids have formed strong bonds, with Lopez emphasizing how seamlessly they embraced each other. Lopez and Rodriguez value the unity of their blended family and celebrate the positive relationships among their children.
