Ariana Grande’s Emotional Preview: Offering a Glimpse into the ‘Vulnerable’ Songs from the ‘Eternal Sunshine’ Album

With some “vulnerable” tunes on her new album Eternal Sunshine, Ariana Grande made the decision to give her fans a small behind-the-scenes look at the recording process.

The singer debuted a video on social media on Thursday, showing off tracks from the album for the first time for her label, Republic Records.

Grande can be heard telling label employees, “I wаnted to involve my team, everyone at Republic, as soon as possible because things are just pouring out and happening very quickly as they often do.” “You are aware of who I am and how these things work.”

The vocalist of “positions” went on, “I’m anxiоus! I wаnted to let you know about this. The fact that each song is a different, enhanced version of the same experience or story makes the album somewhat of a theme.

Grande began to cry as she talked more about her new music in the video. “I’ve been doing this for you guys for ten or twelve years, so I’m, like, weirdly emotional,” she remarked, before spinning around and berating herself for not getting her act together.

She stated at the time that the album’s “working” title was Eternal Sunshine and that while parts of the tracks have her “playing the part that people kind of expect me to be sometimes, and having fun with that, and the rest of it’s all kind of really vulnerable,” other songs are “really vulnerable.”

In the video, Grande mentioned that she started working on the album as soon as the writers’ and actors’ strikes broke out, which stopped the filming of Jon M. Chu’s Wicked, in which she plays Glinda. The singer claimed that she worked for a few weeks with writer-producer Max Martin and that she also had some alone time in the recording studio.

The album’s creation “was all pretty fast,” she continued.
