Billie Eilish has criticιzed those who have voiced opinions about her distinctive fashion sense, particularly her preference for baggy clothing.

 The 17-year-old singer, recognized for sporting oversized T-shirts, sweatshirts, and pants to avoid objectification, addressed such critiques in a recent Instagram post showcasing her attire.

In the post shared early Monday, Billie can be seen wearing a loose-fitting white T-shirt and matching pants adorned with colorful graffiti. 

Alongside the image, she confronted critics, stating, “‘If only I dressed normal I’d be so much hotter yeah yeah, come up with a better comment I’m tired of that one.’”

Since emerging onto the music scene with the release of “Ocean Eyes,” Billie has adopted baggy clothing as her signature style. In an interview with ELLE, she discussed her sartorial choices and the double standards imposed on female artists regarding their appearance, highlighting the pressure to appear attractive without being labeled as ‘promiscuous.’

Billie’s decision to cover up her body came into focus when she trended on Twitter after photos surfaced of her wearing a white tank top, prompting inappropriate remarks about her physique from an older male. Fans came to her defense, emphasizing her efforts to conceal her body to avoid objectification.

Despite Billie’s efforts to assert control over her image, she acknowledges the challenges of navigating public perception, especially as she approaches adulthood. She reflects on the potential backlash she may face if she decides to adopt a more revealing style, understanding that she will likely encounter criticism regardless of her choices.
