Prepare for an abundance of pink оn the red carpet as Barbie makes its presence felt during the award seasоn.
Billie Eilish, a nоminee for Best Original Sоng, has arrived at the 2024 Golden Glоbes sporting red hair and a fabulоus outfit in anticipatiоn of the celebratiоn.
Notably, Barbie boasts three songs in contention for the Best Original Song category: “What Was I Made For?” by Billie Eilish and Finneas, “Dance the Night” by Caroline Ailin, Dua Lipa, Mark Ronson, and Andrew Wyatt, and “I’m Just Ken” by Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt. With such strong representation, the likelihood of a Barbie song emerging victorious is considerable.
Billie Eilish shared with Allure the creative process behind “What Was I Made For?” explaining that it was conceived during a challenging period where inspiration seemed elusive.
Despite initial doubts, the song began to take shape organically.
Billie mentioned, “I have the whole video of us writing the song, and the first thing we wrote were those lines in the first 10 minutes… It’s everything I feel. And it’s not just me—everyone feels like that, eventually.”
Expressing gratitude for the Golden Globe nomination, Billie posted a statement on Instagram, thanking the Golden Globes and acknowledging Greta and Noah for entrusting them with the song.
