Ludwig Göransson, the composer for “Oppenheimer,” and editor Jennifer Lame, along with Rodrigo Prieto, the cinematographer for “Killers of the Flower Moon,” and Billie Eilish and Finneas are set to receive the prestigious Variety’s Artisans Awards. The ceremony will take place at the Arlington Theatre during the Santa Barbara Film Festival on February 11.

This collaboration between Variety and the Santa Barbara Film Festival, now in its tenth year, highlights the outstanding contributions of artisans who have demonstrated exceptional creativity in their respective crafts throughout the year.

In a year marked by strikes from writers and actors during much of 2023, artisans played a pivotal role in upholding the entertainment industry. Their commitment to the filmmaking process and the success of their films will be recognized and celebrated at the awards ceremony. Jazz Tangcay, Variety’s senior artisans editor, expressed enthusiasm for spotlighting these accomplished artists, emphasizing the abundance of cinematic richness in the world-building of films this year. Tangcay looks forward to partnering with Roger Durling, the festival’s executive director, to honor and celebrate these remarkable achievements in Santa Barbara next month.
