Billie Eilish and her older brother Finneas celebrated their Bond theme at the Oscars Nominees Luncheon held at Fairmont Century Plaza in LA’s Century City district on Monday.
The siblings, who hail from Highland Park and share the last name O’Connell, received a nomination for Best Original Song for their track “No Time to Die” from the 007 film, at the upcoming 94th Academy Awards airing on March 27th on ABC.
Reflecting on their involvement with the Bond franchise, the 20-year-old pop star expressed her immense gratitude in an interview with V Magazine last week, stating, “It’s such an enormous honor to be a part of the small group of people that have been involved in the musical aspect of the Bond franchise.
It’s a huge dream that my brother and I have been dreaming about for as long as I can remember.”
In a joint statement, Billie and her 24-year-old brother described their first Oscar nomination as “a peak life experience for us as songwriters and artists.” They emphasized their appreciation for being recognized alongside other exceptional nominees.
Competing against tracks like DIXSON and Beyoncé Knowles-Carter’s “Be Alive” and Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “Dos Oruguitas,” Billie and Finneas faced stiff competition.
Billie opted for a conservative ensemble, wearing a black velvet Gucci blouse paired with a beige Gucci skirt and black velvet Mary Jane creepers styled by Amanda Merten.
Her pencil skirt featured a back slit with black lace trim, revealing a glimpse of her alabaster calves. Makeup artist Robert Rumsey highlighted her icy blue eyes and applied a mauve lip color and rosy blush.
Finneas looked dashing in a taupe pin-stripe suit layered over a bright red button-up shirt, accessorized with a necklace and matching suede creepers.
Accompanying Finneas was his girlfriend of four years, YouTuber Claudia Sulewski, who wore a white silk cut-out gown, matching sandals, and a Louis Vuitton logo purse.
Billie and Finneas are set to continue their “Happier Than Ever The World Tour” in Birmingham, AL, following the luncheon. Additionally, they received multiple nominations for the 64th Annual Grammy Awards airing on April 3rd on CBS.
Furthermore, Billie is making history as the youngest ever headliner for Coachella, scheduled for April 16th and April 23rd.
