Birdman believes that a concert with Cash Money/Young Money alumni Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Lil Wayne might earn $20 million.
On The 85 South Comedy Show podcast, Cash Money Records mogul revealed that Weezy alone would get $4-5 million, but adding Nicki and Drizzy would treble the price.
“So you know with Nicki and Drake, that shit about $15-20million a show,” he remarked. Big facts. Lots of money at stake. $4–5m per show. We were offered $4-5 million each show. That excludes Drake and Nicki.”
Former YMCMB stars have always played for big money. In 2021, Birdman allegedly offered Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Lil Wayne $1.4 billion after signing with Universal Records.
“When Universal gave me a bag, brother, I could honestly say I gave Wayne $400 to $500million, Drake $500million, and Nicki $300, $400million out of my pocket,” he stated. “No cap. If you doubt them, ask.”
Drake is a globally known musician who was signed to the label till a few years ago. Since 2021’s Certified Lover Boy, his projects have been distributed by OVO Sound and Republic Records.
However, in a 2019 interview with Rap Radar, he pledged loyalty to the Birdman and Slim dynasty. He continued, “I’m always going to be involved in the Cash Money/Young Money imprint. “Like I said, my loyalty is always there.”
In August 2022, Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Lil Wayne reunited for the first time in nearly a decade at Toronto’s Budweiser Stage for Drake’s delayed third and final night of October World Weekend.
Lil Wayne announced his upcoming album, Tha Carter VI, during Drake’s parting speech at the end of the spectacular event. “Working on Carter VI, coming soon!” he assured the audience.
As the night ended, a huge “Tha Carter VI” sign emerged on the stage screen, but a year later, it hasn’t arrived.
