Emma Stone appears as the epitome of a glamorous mermaid at this evening’s Oscars. Making her entrance at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre, the actress wore a beautiful custom Louis Vuitton ensemble in a captivating aquamarine hue. The outfit comprised a strapless corset top featuring a striking peplum detail and a floor-length skirt, both adorned with an elaborate seashell-like pattern. Stone complemented the ensemble with a dazzling white diamond choker necklace, showcasing a sizable yellow diamond at the center, along with white diamond studs and rings. Her look was completed with natural makeup and an elegant wavy hairstyle.
Marking her second Oscar win in seven years, Emma Stone took home the Best Actress prize for “Pоог Things.”
“My dress is broken. I think it happened during ‘I’m Just Ken,” Stone said while accepting the award.
“The other night, I was panicking, as you can kind of see, happens a lot — that maybe something like this could happen and Yorgos [Lanthimos] said to me, please take yourself out of it,” Stone added. “And he was right, because it’s not about me. It’s about a team that came together to make something greater than the sum of its parts.”
After acknowledging all the “Pоог Things” cast and crew members, Stone singled out her director, Yorgos Lanthimos, saying, “Thank you for the gift of a lifetime in Bella Baxter.”
Stone previously won the lead actress Oscar for “La La Land” in 2017. She has also received Oscar nominations in the supporting actress category for “Birdman” and “The Favourite,” her first collaboration with Lanthimos. In total, Stone has received five Oscar nominations, four in acting categories and one for best picture as a producer on “Pоог Things.”
In “Pоог Things,” Stone takes on the role of Bella Baxter, a troubled pregnant woman who tragically takes her own life but is revived with the brain of her unborn fetus. Portraying Bella, Stone skillfully embodies the various stages of human development, ranging from the most primal to full adulthood. Her exceptional performance earned her the Best Actress awards in the musical or comedy category at this year’s Golden Globes, as well as recognition at the BAFTAs and Critics Choice Awards.
