Jason Momoa, best known for his roles in Aquaman and Game of Thrones, has been indulging in Toronto’s diverse food scene while filming his Apple TV+ show, See. From ramen to sushi, burgers to Thai cuisine, and even fried chicken, Momoa has been spotted sampling a variety of dishes across the city.
RAMEN ISSHIN
Located at 421 College St., near Bathurst St., Momoa visited Ramen Isshin on Feb. 17. Staff members mentioned that Momoa particularly enjoyed the Chicken Karaage and Marinated Ramen Eggs, while his children opted for the Kotteri Rich Shoyu Ramen with extra noodles.
SUSHI MASAKI SAITO
Momoa also made a stop at Sushi Masaki Saito, located at 88 Avenue Rd., north of Bloor St., where he praised it as “the best sushi in Toronto.” This upscale sushi restaurant, renowned for its Michelin-starred chef, offers an exclusive dining experience with only seven seats available at $500 per head. Momoa’s favorite dishes included Uni Rice with grilled barracuda and Original Dried Mullet Roe, paired with Monkfish Liver.

Situated at 18 Duncan St., near Adelaide St. W., Pai, a popular Thai restaurant in the Entertainment District, welcomed Momoa as one of their esteemed patrons. Momoa was presented with a “Don’t worry, be hippie” shirt and expressed his admiration for dishes such as Chef Nuit Pad Thai, Green Curry, Pad Gra Prow, and Northern Laab Salad.
TACHI
Despite being on his feet all day, Momoa visited Tachi, located at 111 Richmond St. W., near York St., the first stand-up sushi spot in the country. He favored the Premium Box and A5 Miyazaki Waygu Sushi.
LEGAL TENDERS
Momoa visited Legal Tenders, a Parkdale fried chicken joint located at 1378 Queen St. W., near Brock Ave., on Nov. 28, 2020. He ordered chicken tenders and dips and showed support for the small business by sporting a Legal Tenders shirt.
OZZY’S BURGERS
In October 2020, Momoa frequented Ozzy’s Burgers in Kensington Market, located at 66 Nassau St. Unit 1/2, at Augusta Ave. He enjoyed a signature lamb burger and returned later for a classic cheeseburger.
