Jason Momoa, delighted fans by introducing an adorable pig he adopted after finishing filming the fantasy movie “Slumberland”.
“Slumberland” is adapted from the comic strip “Little Nemo in Slumberland.” The film centers on Nemo, portrayed by Marlow Barkley, whose stuffed pig transforms into a live companion at night. Momoa plays a mystical character who aids a young girl in navigating dreams and escaping nightmares to reunite with her late father.
“This is why I can’t work with animals. I want to bring them home. Wild and feral like his pops,” Momoa shared in one of two Instagram videos featuring the pig.
In the first video, the Hawaiian actor humorously contemplates naming his new pet “Lau Lau” or “Manapua,” after popular Hawaiian dishes. In the second video, he playfully invites the pig to the “Slumberland” premiere, suggesting they paint its nails pink and accessorize with a miniature top hat.
Despite his enthusiasm, Momoa’s mother, heard in the background, suggests it might be too much, to which Momoa quips, “Well, mom, I’m kind of over the top.”
Momoa, known for his love of animals, previously shared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2019 that he co-parents a donkey, two half-wolves, a dog, and a ball python with his ex-partner Lisa Bonet.
