The reason “Aquaman” Jason Momoa refuses to cut his long, flowing locks goes beyond just personal style. His curly, cascading mane and thick beard have become synonymous with his portrayal of Aquaman, but the decision to maintain this look is not solely based on aesthetics.
Momoa has no intentions of trimming his mane and lion-like beard because he believes his “beloved wife,” Lisa Bonet, would leave him if he did. “My wife would leave me if I cut my hair, so I’m not cutting my hair for a while, at least,” Momoa shared. The lead actor of the blockbuster Aquaman is well-known for his devotion to his wife. Lisa has given birth to their 11-year-old daughter, Lola, and 10-year-old son, Nakoa-Wolf.
Fortunately for Jason Momoa, he is contractually obligated to maintain his long hair for the upcoming Aquaman sequel. “I’ll be playing this guy for a bit, and I don’t want to wear a wig,” Jason revealed.
This ensures that Lisa doesn’t have to worry about Jason chopping off his locks for at least the next two years.
Jason’s wife, Lisa Bonet, 51, is also an actress. The couple tied the knot in 2017, 12 years after their initial meeting at a jazz club in New York in 2005. The 39-year-old actor emphasizes that his long hair has always been a significant aspect of their unique “sibling-like” relationship.
Lisa’s previous husband is the renowned rock musician Lenny Kravitz. Their marriage, lasting from 1987 to 1993, resulted in their daughter, Zoe Kravitz, who is now 30 years old.
