Taking a break from the spotlight, Jennifer Lopez, 52, and her 14-year-old son, Max, were spotted in the bleachers cheering on daughter Emme at her softball game in Los Angeles on Saturday, April 30. The superstar singer, known for hits like “I’m Real,” opted for a laid-back look, sporting loose-fitted distressed denim, a cropped white T-shirt, and comfortable white sneakers. Completing her ensemble with an effortlessly chic messy updo, oversized sunglasses, and her signature hoop earrings, J.Lo exuded casual cool.
Max, accompanying his famous mom, sported cozy gray sweatpants paired with a matching sweatshirt and a navy blue Vineyard Vines hat. Jennifer, who shares twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony, recently announced her engagement to actor Ben Affleck for the second time. The engagement took place during a cozy evening at home, as revealed in a newsletter on her onthejlo.com website on April 12.
In a piece titled “How It Went Down,” Jennifer described the magical moment, sharing, “Saturday night while at my favorite place on earth [in the bubble bath], my beautiful love got on one knee and proposed.” Recounting the emotions, she added, “I just looked in his eyes, smiling and crying at the same time, trying hard to get my head around the fact that after 20 years, this was happening all over again.”
The couple’s history dates back to the early 2000s when they first met on the set of their film Gigli. After a whirlwind romance, Ben proposed in November 2002, but their wedding plans were later postponed and eventually canceled in 2003. Jennifer moved on with Marc Anthony, while Ben married Jennifer Garner in 2005.
Despite the ups and downs in their personal lives, Jennifer and Ben found their way back to each other. As the actress and singer enjoy her children’s sports events, it’s evident that Ben has successfully charmed not just Jennifer but also her twins. According to a source in June 2021, “Ben sure knows the way to a kid’s heart. He’s obviously won over Jen, but now he’s charmed her kids too. It didn’t take long.”
