Katy Perry came close to a wardrobe mishap in her frilled black dress during a London event with her fiancé, Orlando Bloom.

 The American Idol judge and Orlando were captured arm in arm, attending a dinner at The Twenty Two hotel during the show’s hiatus.

For the London occasion, the 38-year-old Katy donned a striking black dress with a deep neckline and a ruffled hem decorating the slit in the middle. 

Elevating the ensemble, the Firework singer added silver earrings, vibrant red lipstick, and strappy black heels.

 She styled her hair in an elegant twisted up-do, leaving a few strands to frame her face.

Orlando, 46, took a different approach to his dinner party attire, looking cool and relaxed in a black zip-up windbreaker paired with matching shorts. Completing his look, he added a black baseball cap, white crew socks, and white sneakers.

The couple seemed to be in high spirits as they entered the London hotel, exchanging smiles along the way.
