Katy Perry kicked off her inaugural Las Vegas residency, Play, last night, and we’ve got a stu𝚗ning collection of photos capturing the unforgettable performance! The residency, hosted at Resorts World, will run until March 19, 2022.

Expressing her pride in bringing this extravagant show to Vegas, Katy remarked, ‘This residency has been years in the making – I remember being in a hard hat and steel-toed boots to walk among the steel beams that make up this gorgeous new theater!’ 

She further added, ‘I had such a wild time dreaming up all six acts of this show, and it really made me listen to my catalog in a whole new way to come up with a set list that included 20 of my most-streamed songs as well as my new Alesso collaboration to keep things fresh.’

For the opening night, Katy showcased a total of nine distinct outfits, each captured in our exclusive photos.

 Her hair was styled by longtime collaborator Rick Henry, and her makeup was flawlessly executed by Michael Anthony. The costumes were designed by renowned artists such as Johnny Wujek, Pini, Heather Picchiottino, Zaldy, and more.
