Katy Perry quietly left Sydney on Saturday morning following an exciting night at Taylor Swift’s highly anticipated Eras tour show on Friday.
The 39-year-old singer, who jetted to Australia to watch her ‘old friend’ Taylor’s performance, was spotted boarding her private jet at Sydney Airport the next morning as she headed back to Melbourne for a ‘sеcrеt show.’
Katy, married to Orlando Bloom, opted for comfort in a grey hoodie and a baseball cap for the short flight. Radio host Ben Fordham revealed Katy’s sеcrеt visit, mentioning her upcoming performance at billionaire Richard Pratt’s mansion.
Katy, along with Rita Ora and Taika Waititi, enjoyed Taylor’s show in Sydney and dispelled any lingering feud rumors. Katy took to Instagram to share snaps and videos from the concert, expressing her support for Taylor. The two, who had a falling out a decade ago, embraced their renewed friendship with a backstage selfie.
Their previous dispute, leading to Taylor’s song “Bad Blооd,” now seems water under the bridge, especially after Katy playfully sang along to the track during the concert. Rita Ora, another attendee, shared pictures and praised Taylor, while Katy commented with a simple ‘ily’ (I love you).
Despite fears of a concert cancellation due to thunderstorms, Taylor delighted 80,000 fans with a spectacular performance. She is scheduled for three more shows, concluding the Australian leg of her Eras tour on Monday night.
Katy and Taylor’s decade-long feud, sparked by dancers allegedly quitting Taylor’s tour for Katy’s, is now a thing of the past. After Taylor’s revealing interview and the release of “Bad Blооd,” Katy responded with the track “Swish Swish” in 2017. However, in 2018, Katy extended an olive branch with a handwritten note, ending their six-year feud.
