Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande are most known for their chart-topping albums and songs, but they have also achieved success in the movies. The two actors have been in films and were recently given roles in a new feature. While this coupling did not come to fruition, it is entertaining to envision them participating in the same film.

Amazon Prime recently released The Greatest Love Story Never Told, a behind-the-scenes look at the production of the movie This Is Me Now: A Love Story. The film is a musical based on Jennifer Lopez’s latest album, This Is Me Now.
The documentary reveals that in addition to the prominent personalities who feature in the This Is Me Now: A Love Story movie, many others were also given roles. That lineup includes Swift and Grande, both of whom declined the opportunity.
It’s not surprising that the two musical powerhouses did not find time to perform in This Is Me … Now: A Love Story, but the concept of them on screen together is electrifying. Swift has been re-recording her first six albums, creating new songs (both Midnights and her upcoming The Tortured Poets Department), and touring the world, performing to sold-out audiences on her historic The Eras Tour.
Grande hasn’t been idle either. She was already filming two films. The singer’s recent concentration has been on the Wicked film adaptations, which will be released in two installments. That was no easy effort, but she did manage to release a single or two, including the Hot 100 No. 1 “Die For You” with The Weeknd.
Several celebrities, including Swift and Grande, were approached to appear in This Is Me … Now: A Love Story, but declined due to various reasons. Lizzo, Jason Momoa, Jennifer Coolidge, and Snoop Dogg were all in talks for the film but did not make it to set, according to Entertainment Weekly.
This Is Me … Now: A Love Story features a plethora of celebrities, despite the absence of several well-known performers. The cast is diverse, ranging from those who play major roles to those who appear only briefly. Derek Hough, Fat Joe, Jane Fonda, Jenifer Lewis, Jay Shetty, Keke Palmer, Kim Petras, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Paul Raci, Post Malone, Sofia Vergara, Trevor Jackson, and Trevor Noah are among the celebrity guests. Even Lopez’s Oscar-winning husband, Ben Affleck, is present!
